Jennifer Viollis-Smith is a driving force behind the global voice and strategic direction of Viollis Group International, serving as its Chief Communications Officer. With a career spanning elite public relations, criminal justice, and victim advocacy, Jennifer’s expertise sits at the intersection of crisis management and storytelling—an invaluable combination in the world of high-stakes security.
Known for her sharp instincts, deep industry knowledge, and passion for justice, she shapes how VGI communicates in moments that matter most: when lives, reputations, and legacies are on the line. Whether overseeing executive communications, guiding sensitive media strategy, or advancing the firm’s philanthropic mission, Jennifer brings clarity, integrity, and conviction to every engagement.
A graduate of the University of South Florida with a double major in Criminology and Communications, Jennifer went on to earn her Master of Science in Criminal Justice Studies from the University of Central Florida. Her career began at the prestigious Rubenstein Public Relations in New York City, where she worked on behalf of top-tier clients in media, law, and public affairs.
Following her tenure at Rubenstein, Jennifer transitioned in-house to serve as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Risk Control Strategies, the industry’s gold standard in security consulting, cofounded by Dr. Paul Viollis. When Dr. Viollis launched Viollis Group International, Jennifer joined the founding leadership team, helping shape the voice and global presence of VGI from day one. In addition to her corporate role, Jennifer holds a certification as a Victims Advocate and is the Executive Director of
Her Voice Foundation—VGI’s affiliated nonprofit organization that serves female survivors of violent crime, including human trafficking, domestic violence, and exploitation. Through this work, she bridges the gap between justice and healing for those who need it most. Jennifer’s unique blend of criminal justice expertise, communications acumen, and purpose-driven leadership plays a vital role in VGI’s mission: protecting what matters most—through intelligence,
discretion, and action.
